
If you were unable to participate in the recent protests and want to do something, another way to help is to donate your money or your time. There are many organizations providing activists with bail bonds and legal help. Some are helping small businesses and other community resources that have been adversely affected as well.
Here is a list you can use to begin your search. We’ve provided links to the organizations and their donation pages. Links can be found on the sites for volunteer opportunities as well.
BAIL FUNDS
It provides links to over 60 community bail and bond funds, including the Minnesota Freedom Fund. You can check out the list of protest bail funds by state if you want to give to a local fund. You can also donate directly to the Network.
The National Lawyers Guild is the nation’s oldest and largest progressive bar association and was the first one in the US to be racially integrated. Their mission is to use law for the people, uniting lawyers, law students, legal workers, and jailhouse lawyers to function as an effective force in the service of the people by valuing human rights and the rights of ecosystems over property interests. COMMITTEE TO PROTECT JOURNALISTS
CPJ promotes press freedom worldwide and defends the right of journalists to report the news safely and without fear of reprisal. CPJ protects the free flow of news and commentary by taking action wherever journalists are under threat. Donate
Its National Revolving Bail Fund is on a mission to combat mass incarceration and reshape the pretrial system in the United States. 100% of online donations are used to bring people home.
It is a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support the Black community and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration.
COMMUNITY RESTORATION
The Lake Street Council (501c3) will donate 100% of funds to help rebuild Lake Street, starting with direct support to small businesses and nonprofits to help them rebuild their storefronts, reopen their businesses and serve the neighborhoods.
POLICY REFORM ORGANIZATIONS

COLOR of CHANGE EDUCATION FUND
Color Of Change is the nation’s largest online racial justice organization. They help people respond effectively to injustice in the world around us. As a national online force driven by 1.7 million members, they move decision-makers in corporations and government to create a more human and less hostile world for Black people in America. Donate
